Mood swings, vaginal dryness, stagnant libido that took a vacation. Menopause can be hell, but also a completely normal transition between fertile fertile years and attenuation of ovarian function. The difference between receiving and processing it lies in one fundamental thing.

Menopause in women usually begins between the ages of 45 and 55, accompanied by infamous symptoms such as vaginal dryness, less interest in sex, irritability, hot flushes, hair loss, weight gain, and night sweats. However, its effects do not have to be so tragic. The researchers, whose findings were published in the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), appeal that the role is mainly played by the psyche and how you respond to the physical changes in your body.

Here it comes

The researchers looked at 210 women between the ages of 45 and 55 to find out how menopause affects libido. They also analyzed the body condition of volunteers, sexual satisfaction, the quality of relationships and the symptoms of menopause. It turned out that those women who have a healthy relationship to sexuality and menopause, with a view, as a natural part of the life cycle, are happier in bed fun. And they are also more mentally stable.

The most risky group

"These results are in line with the findings of previous studies and emphasize that positive attitudes towards sex, satisfaction with the partner and one's own body play an important role around menopause. In fact, the symptoms of the transition are pushed into the background," said chief physician Stephanie Faubion, adding that women who have previously suffered and are suffering from anxiety, which may stem from childhood and previous traumas, are often in a bad mental state.

Such women can't relax in bed, and they're overly worried about all the hot flashes. Hormonal treatment is suitable for them. The above-mentioned doctor also notes that during menopause, it is appropriate to open up more emotionally, talk about changes with your partner and, most importantly, look for suitable solutions.

Help from drugstores and herbalism

Moisturizing creams and oils will help with dry skin, lubricating gels will turn with vaginal dryness, for which no one needs to be ashamed. Unpleasant symptoms of menopause are suppressed by red clover, which balances the levels of female hormones (progesterone and estrogen), St. John's wort tames depression and contributes to mental well-being, valerian induces sleep, nettle, birch and parsley dehydrate the body. After the transition, nothing is lost, you just need to rediscover yourself and your sexuality. It doesn't have to be worse than before, it's just different. Just think positively and focus on what all the more awaits you. This is the most effective recipe for managing menopause.
